Anger over Brandon McInerney possible mistrial

Anger over Brandon McInerney possible mistrial Tube. Duration : 6.37 Mins.

There are bodies piling up in america. Gay bodies. Black bodies. Latino Bodies. Male bodies in dresses. Female bodies in jeans with Timbs on. And America is being silent. Our communities do not advocate for us. Our white brothers and sisters expect us to chastise our black and latino communities but they offer us no real sanctuary in the gay garden. If we are not monogamous or gender appropriate our voices are not put on the meeting's agendas. We look to our communities and see faces that look like our own but many faces shift from loving solidarity into contorted faces of disgust. Our bodies are broken, broken by fists, words, discourse, laws, looks, images, and disease. Where is your anger? Our voices are choked by indifference, desire for heterosexual acceptance, respectability, conformity. Where is your anger? Our lives are ended from hate, stupidity, ignorance, hands, feet, guns, ropes, knives, computers, words, stares, and un-touches. Where is your anger? When you marry, when you serve in the army, when you sit in your room surrounded by those who look like you, think like you, and spend like you, will you notice the silence? Will you be surprised, or will you realize you were silent long before those gains? And where will we be? Still dying; still struggling; still fighting; still ignored. Where is your anger? Where are you?
